Protecting the Hawthorn is very important, as it is believed that they live in the protection of the fairies. Standing at the threshold to the Otherworld.
Medicinal
Hawthorn has been used traditionally for the heart, easing heart break and cardiovascular disorders.
Time of Year
April - June
With the peak blooming period being in May, but the leaves unfurl in March but the haw berries go on until October.
