Folklore

Wild Mint has long been associated with purification, protection, and prosperity. It was believed to ward off evil spirits and bad luck, often placed in homes or worn as an amulet. In some traditions, mint was used to enhance dreams and mental clarity, acting as a guide between worlds.

Medicinal

Wild Mint has been traditionally used to aid digestion, relieve headaches, and soothe colds. Its cooling properties help ease nausea and respiratory issues, while its calming effects support relaxation and stress relief.

Time of Year

May - September

Wild Mint begins to flourish in late spring, with its aromatic leaves reaching their peak in summer. It continues to grow well into early autumn, thriving in damp meadows, riverbanks, and woodland edges.
