Each week we will be using specific plants, drinking plants, discussing herbs and plant medicine and then creating bespoke tableware and homeware using plants. We are marrying together herbalism, folklore and clay, creating your own decorative homeware and table pieces.
Each week, we'll turn our attention to a different plant. We'll start by drinking it as a tea, brewed from whatever's in season before exploring its herbal medicine and the folklore that's grown up around it over centuries: the remedies it was once used for, the beliefs attached to it, the time of year it was traditionally gathered.
From there, we'll use the plant in the studio and work with it in clay You'll press it into clay by hand, shaping it into your own bespoke tableware or homeware a plate, a bowl, a small dish and so the piece you take home carries the imprint of the plant itself, not just its likeness.
It's a chance to slow down and connect with the changing seasons through three things at once: what we drink, what we learn, and what we make. Herbalism, folklore and ceramics, brought together and a finished piece that's entirely your own, shaped by the plant of the week.
